I got this gift for my Mom as a Mothers Day gift; my brother got her the one for the month of May because that is his birthstone and I got the one for July because that is my birthstone. I was disappointed that they didn't have Ruby, but thought this looked enough like a ruby to where my Mom would get the picture.
I ordered it online and when I opened the box, it looks nothing like the stone in the picture shown online. The stone on the actual charm looks like it is orange. There is no hint of red, pink, or ruby in it. I know the Carnelian stone is more of an orange/red color, but this one looks like it is straight out of the Crayon box orange.
It is a good quality stone, and I'll still plan to give it to my Mom for Mother's Day,, but just be warned that it doesn't look anything like this picture in person.
